DON'T MISS THE FREE PARKING AND FREE SHUTTLE!
Free parking is available in the Bancroft Structure parking lot,
which is located on Bancroft Way across from the Berkeley Art
Museum. The parking attendant will direct you to the reserved
Optometry clinic parking spaces (designated OPT). The clinic is a
pleasant two-minute walk from the parking lot or ride the free
shuttle that will take you to the front door
of the clinic. On Saturdays (no attendants available), patients are
asked to drive directly to the clinic to obtain a parking permit and
return to the lot for parking. Please make sure you park in a
designated OPT spot. On Sundays, patients are permitted to park
adjacent to the Optometry clinic (go to the clinic upon arrival to
obtain a parking permit).
LOCATION:
The University Eye Center is located on the Berkeley campus in Minor
Hall, which is next to Wurster Hall and the Haas School of Business.
DIRECTIONS FROM INTERSTATE HIGHWAY I - 80
Take the University Avenue (Berkeley) exit. Drive east on University until it ends at Oxford. Turn left on Oxford. Turn right on Hearst. Turn right on Gayley Road. Turn right on Bancroft Way and after passing College Avenue make a right into the Bancroft Structure parking lot. The parking attendant will direct you to the reserved Optometry clinic parking spaces.
DIRECTIONS FROM HIGHWAY 13 OR 24
Take the Berkeley exit and go straight (west) on Tunnel Road, which
then becomes Ashby. Turn right on College Avenue. Turn left on
Bancroft Way and make a right into the Bancroft Structure parking
lot. The parking attendant will direct you to the reserved Optometry
clinic parking spaces.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation to the
campus is readily available.
- BART: From the Downtown Berkeley BART Station, take the
Campus shuttle bus to College Ave. For BART information, call

- Campus Shuttle Bus: A campus shuttle bus stops across from
the BART station at Shattuck and Center. For campus shuttle bus
information, call (510) 642-5149.
- AC Transit Bus: The 51 line, which stops on College Ave. at
the campus, is the best to use. For further information on AC
Transit buses, call (510) 839-2882.
